Rehearsal day!

I’m an hour late because, for some reason my laziness is very good at convincing me that distances take 50% less time to travel than the last time you journeyed them.

Anyway. Here is the epitome of a rehearsal studio wall.

Adam, Jim and Paul. My heroes.

Everything is coming together really nicely. Jim is totally tuned in to what Im after – sometimes before I am! And Adam and Paul are like brothers when they play. It really does feel like this is how it should be and I am more than happy with it.

My local…

Today I went to my local. I spend half my life there.
This is Simon. He’s always on the door. He’s great.

Today I dropped off at the dump;

  • a camp bed
  • a floor lamp
  • thousands of leaves (all collected by my own fair hands)
  • my old car battery
  • a christmas tree
  • 3 bags of indescribable shit

I am there so often that I dont ever have to show my proof of address on entry, most of the fellas that work there know my name and are actually quite shocked at how often I frequent the dump. I am a veritable phenomena.

Album meeting

Wah Wah meeting with Dom and Adam to talk about all the who, what, when and wheres for the album.

Got the core band sorted of course. My ladies Maire-Claire, Abi and Sophie, and my fellas Adam, Paul and Jim. Daniel Clark of The Hat fame is up for playing some double bass and harp for us and Matthew Halsall is down for playing some trumpet. All very exciting!! And it looks as though Amy from The Heritage Orchestra is going to be doing the string arrangements for two of the songs on the album. One a bonus track of just me and the quartet! Argh! SO exciting!
